FAQs

No. Designs created by Entropy while under a Statement of Work will be owned by you and you are able to freely recreate these for your own purposes where needed. In circumstances where IP is generated, we will flag this in advance of work beginning and IP ownership will clearly be agreed between our two parties to avoid confusion or restrictive covenants.

We have over 15 years of experience developing rugged chassis products from requirements capture, through design, simulation, test and customer delivery. See our Case Studies page for some examples we can share publicly, although we have contributed to the development of many more.

Only if you’re not confident how to integrate them. The technology itself is cheap and heatsink unit price is only slightly higher than a simple machined item (and reduces with scale). Very high costs are involved with iterative development where many different pipe shapes are trialled, test facilities used to verify performance promised, or advanced inspection techniques are required to ensure quality of internal solder joints or consistent wick structure.

We have been through this process many times to identify critical issues and remove these non-recurring trial-and-error development costs so you don’t need to absorb them.

At Entropy we run an openly communicative process. While we do not want to take more of your valuable time than absolutely essential, we do not operate separately and independently from yourself such that you have no visibility.
Official reporting frequency, as well as key milestone deliverables, will be agreed at the initial commencement of works, and otherwise we encourage emails direct to our engineers working on the project to ensure you are happy with progress.

Similarly we can provide rugged environmental testing either on site or at our qualified partners. We can define the testing needed, manage the process and oversee delivery so you only need receive your data once completed.

Thermal Development testing of units we will typically do in-house.
